Refund Policy

Transactions will not be refunded once the receiver has received the funds. A Sender can cancel a transaction at any time before its completion. Completion means that the beneficiary received the money sent either through cash pick-up or bank account deposit.

Note that when Kemoson receives a cancellation request, we will confirm with our payment provider regarding the completion of the transaction before giving a refund.

Refunds are given by the same payment method used to pay for the transaction. Refunds are made in U.S. dollars value received for the remittance. At no additional cost to the sender, we will refund the total amount of funds provided by the sender in connection with the remittance transfer, including any fees and, to the extent not prohibited by law, taxes imposed in connection with the remittance if any. Kemoson will refund within forty-five business days of receiving a sender's request to cancel the remittance transfer.

Please note that residents of certain jurisdictions may have certain refund rights as described below:

Washington. As a Sender located in the State of Washington, you are entitled to a refund of all money received for transmittal within ten days of receipt of a written request for a refund unless any of the following occurs:

  1. The money has been transmitted and delivered to the recipient prior to receipt of the written request for a refund.

  2. Instructions have been given committing an equivalent amount of money to the person designated by the customer prior to receipt of a written request for a refund.

  3. Kemoson or its authorized delegate has reason to believe that a crime has occurred, is occurring, or may potentially occur as a result of transmitting the money or refunding the money as requested by the customer; Kemoson is otherwise barred by law from making a refund.
